Staff is courteous, facility is good, good location in Pasadena. I prefer other types of workouts, but appreciate their work.

Horrible experience, left on the verge of tears. Let me first start by saying that I called ahead to know what to bring. I was informed socks were required. No problem. I asked about bringing a towel or mat and was told they have towels. Then I was told they ask people to cover their midriff. Not that I want to show my midriff, but this is a policy that borders in body shaming. Socks, carpet, and towels: you need the grip socks. Regular socks slip all over the carpet. The carpet is vile. Low pile. Rough on the touch. Not to mention, totally unsanitary. Everybody is touching the ground with their hands, and they allow toeless socks, another unsanitary element. They do not have regular towels. They have itty bitty towels for your hands in the restroom. Had I known they do not provide regular towels for the sake of comfort and health, I would have brought my own. Personnel: the girl working behind the Contreras does not smile, at all, ever. She was rude and unfriendly. Considering how expensive these classes are, staff should always be friendly. The instructor was a bit too eager to the point where I had said I needed to use the restroom when I came in and she totally bombarded me. She also called me by a nickname. I introduced myself by my given name as is my preference. She did ask if I like being called what she called me, but only after she already did it. Then she told me she doesn't like when people try to use a nickname on her, seriously. Treat others how you want to be treated, if you don't like nicknames, why assume others do. Then she decided to pick a spot for me while I was in the restroom, in the middle of the room, with the sun blinding me. Instructors should never chose a spot for clients unless discussed. Not to mention in the direct light. Equipment: they clearly never sanitize their weights, balls, and bands. I didn't even want to know what the mats looked like. The class: I was slipping all over the place, so Between that and everything I've already mentioned, I left after a few minutes. Also, it's Pilates, not Barre, not Barre method. While the instructor said it's Pilates based, there are zero ballet moves. I don't like this style, and they do not offer beginners classes. Also, no warm-up or stretches. I have yet to decide if I want to try this place again, and bring a towel, some sanitary wipes, and use a different instructor. But so far, probably now. There's a reason there were only 6 people in the class. I rather go where people pack the classes up because people want to be there.

A great workout that doesn't feel like 50 minutes. It goes by quick and there is a learning curve but you do feel change and results pretty soon after that. I like the music, the energy of the instructors, and that each class is a little different so you never get bored. I've been a loyal client for many years! :)

Love the classes and amazing instructors
