At 5 Points you get to talk to someone helpful right away. They usually know what you need, where to find it, and can sometimes tell you how to install it. Prices are competitive. Parking can be difficult. Hours are only 8:30 to 6, closed Sundays.
It's a small hardware store with almost everything. They have a cool saying outside the store. "If we don't have it, you don't need it" it's so funny. But they seriously have everything a DIY person could need. They are friendly and super helpful, I can't say the same about Home Depot. They have plumbing supplies some electrical stuff. A wall of nuts and bolts. They make screens and cut glass. Cool little spot near my house. I go in and come out with what I need it 5 mins. Unlike Home Depot which takes me 5 mins just to park and get into the store. Another 15 mins to try and find some one to help. Cool place. 5 points hardware gets 5 starts!
It smells just like a tire shop or auto parts shop wood. It's amazing and wonderful to see how many things and supplies there are. It's like a small home Depot with rope, tape, gardening tools and home appliances like a sink or faucets. It's definitely a place to get things for a diy for cheaper prices. Found a small faucet piece that I couldn't find at home Depot because it was old and discontinued. It's dark, a bit shady but there's a nice old man that helps you out if you ask or need something. It's like a wonderland of lost or cool shiny things. It's has the vibe and look of an old garage sale mixed with a swap meet place.
We went in to get a few missing screws for our a/c and we got vip treatment. We'll certainly be back !
