Just like its Culver City cousin, this place has excellent food (the only reason for the 4 stars) with an amazing kitchen staff which is held back by a server staff that is tone deaf and at best indifferent and uninterested in those of us who come to enjoy a meal. We only popped in because all the other restaurants in the area were too full to accommodate us at 7PM on a Saturday night without a reservation. However, Sage had plenty of tables. The manager who seated us was surly not only to us but also in the way she handled a problem at the table next to ours. Our waitress was just checked out. We had to flag her down for water, to order our next course, and to pay. We told her we had eaten at another Sage location nearer the coast. She said there wasnt a location there and that maybe wed eaten at their food truck as if we couldnt tell the difference between a food truck and a sit down restaurant. Only our hunger and the promise of the jackfruit nachos kept me from walking out.
Pricey but worth it! The menu was awesome. Loved the appetizers and entrees we ordered. The vegans havent yet mastered the art of dessert, so I cant blame them for the strange cookies that made up our ice cream sandwich. Outdoor seating looks out into shopping courtyard. Very nice experience.
My favorite vegan restaurant in Pasadena. Friendly staff, great food, tasty cocktails. My favorite is the Mac and cheese pizza. Park in the garage south of Colorado on De Lacey for 90 minutes of free parking.
Love Sage and this location is great. It has lots of seating and nice atmosphere. I took my 3 not vegan friends and they loved it. The cauliflower wings are amazing and there was nothing we ordered that they didn't like. I recommend for everyone.
