Smitty's is a favorite of mine! The martini with blue cheese stuffed olives lures me there! Great spot for lunch or dinner! It has a very classy environment and outstanding service and still feels homey and comfortable!
This is a must stop place for me when I travel to Pasadena. I love the decor and the "old school" vibe. The food has always been good, and it is just fancy enough to entertain clients but not so fancy that it feels stuffy. Every seafood dish I order is good, and while I am never disappointed, I have had better seafood. Drink prices are really the only big negative. Do not be afraid to ask what a drink will cost, as you can easily end up with sticker shock. This is especially true for wine. Overall, anyone going here should have a good experience. Just be advised that parking in the area can be tough.
We went here with a party of 6 for a special occasion. It was a last minute change of plans and they were able to accommodate us as soon as possible. The server Johnny was amazing and made us all feel welcome and created a lovely dining experience. Food was delicious and if you get the pot pie don't expect the typical version Smitty's is so much better and more than exceeded my expectations. We got a few of the specials and they were delicious, definitely suggest listen to them. Overall a wonderful night and love the atmosphere and valet parking.
Always enjoy a nice evening here. A good balance of formal and causal. If the weather is cool, get a reservation on the back patio next to the fire.
Parking was very easy but thats where the good part ends. Despite having a reservation, we had to wait almost half an hour. Service was slow. Food was disappointing. Appetizers poorly executed. Fish was not fresh. This place does not live up to its reputation.
