Eh. I heard so much about this place. It took me months to work my way to it. After a 45 minute wait I was not amused. The sushi is assembly lined. The selection is limited and unoriginal. The service is fair. Of course their attention is diverted the moment you order water. Overall not what I had hoped based on its reputation. There is another sushi place in town. I will not mention it as I already have a long wait there and do not want to make this place even more popular...ah forget it its sushi enya!
this is the finest sushi place i have ever been in California. staff is friendly & knowledgeable. the food is always fresh & deliciously prepared.
We put our names on at 7:10pm and were given a 30-40 minute wait notice. We were ultimately seated at 8:20pm, twice the amount of wait time that we had initially been told of. It was on a Thursday night, so it's not as if the venue was all that much busier than a regular weekday night. We were a party of 3, so it's not like arranging seating should have been all that difficult either. Seated people that were behind us ahead. Manager Sam came over to explain and kept providing excuses and argued that the party seated at the table lined up for us would not leave for 30+ minutes even after finishing their meal. Refusing to provide an apology for the delay and blaming other customers to come up with an excuse was extremely unprofessional. The manager walked away in the middle of our conversation, which I also found disturbing. After being told that we will be "taken care of for the food and drinks", they brought out one maki roll that we had not ordered and apparently that was the manager's way of making up for the delay and his rudeness. In serious need of realizing that what matters from the customer's perspective is the overall dining experience, which can't be valued simply in terms of a $14 item on the menu. All that they had to do was extend a sincere apology for the inconvenience, which the manager simply would refuse to do. Will not visit again.
If you come during lunch time with a party larger than two- expect about a 30 min wait. The fish is fresh, simple and delicious. If it's your first time, I suggest the "trust me." That's probably the best way to go as they provide you a taste of variety of fish with two rolls to end your meal. The restaurant is small. The service is always great. Family friendly as I bring my child here all the time. But also an ideal place to catchup with friend or have a business lunch.Highly recommend.
I love sushi very much! Ive been traveling around the world and always went to Japanese restaurants in every country. Ive never tasted sushis such like this.
