Houstons restaurant is a fabulous place to eat, and meet with friends. Presentation is fabulous, service is top notch, and the food is world class. Houstons has an excellent wine list, and attention to detail is top notch. From warm towels before your food is delivered to excellent desserts, you will not be disappointed. As we say, you get what you pay for, and I highly recommend this as a place for travelers and families alike. Top notch, and we will return again.
I can never make up my mind what to order because every item on the menu is delicious. I love watching the grill master at work when you're waiting to be seated. Be patient because there is always a long wait, especially on the weekends. We were told the hot selling items are the prime rib and the rack of ribs and largest portion items too! And that's what we usually order. We love their baked potatoes, traditional salad, and the grilled artichokes! And service is always impeccable. Also, if you're a vegetarian, you can request for a veggie plate if nothing else catches your eye. I love their braised red cabbage with goat cheese. But there's not a single item on the menu that isn't delicious!
Wait with reservation was still another 15 minutes or so. One steak under done and no one came to check if food was cooked correctly until we stopped a waitress 10 min later. They did comp the steak but unfortunately everyone else had almost finished before the steak was returned. Food was all great other than that.
Great food and service. Loved the Thai Noodle salad with chicken. My friend had sushi and Caesar salad. Topped the meal with the Belgian Chocolate ice cream sundae. Heaven in a bowl. I asked--they make the chocolate sauce. Superb.
Food - cooked perfectly and every ingredient had it's place and came out really well. My fiance got the Hickory Burger which was great. Liked it more than my plate but everything was good. Service - Our servers were there just enough. Not too much, not too little. And they were always kind and courteous. When we asked for recommendations from the menu the waitress really told us a lot about the dishes and what she liked/disliked about them. Ambiance - I personally hate noisy restaurants. Houston's has enough noise so that people can't hear your conversation but not so loud that you have to speak loudly so your table can hear you. The dim lighting makes you feel more comfortable and is great for a special dinner.
